Flemish folk group with the enchanting voices of Jorunn Bauweraerts, Nathalie Delcroix and Annelies Brosens. The inspiration for their songs comes from old song books; and this is how they succeed in making medieval songs sound strikingly modern.
The band was formed at the Volksmuziekstages in Gooik, which are some kind of workshops. The Flemish folkband Kadril noticed the girls singing a capella and took them on tour as their support act for a while. Laïs built up a small fanbase with their a capella songs. When they released their first CD, they were accompanied by Kadril on some songs. Later they searched their own musicians to complete the band.
