Bústaðu viðburðinn!Icelandic pianist and composer Magnús Jóhann will celebrate the release of his tenth solo album, See Instructions, with the premiere of an accompanying short film at Reykjavík’s Bíó Paradís on Saturday, November 7, as an official partner event of Iceland Airwaves 2026.
Produced by Comrade Film and directed by Asra & Kiljan, the film is inspired by the stage production of the same name, which debuted at the State of the Art festival in 2024. Combining contemporary dance, live musical performance and theatrical elements, the original production received a nomination for the Icelandic Performing Arts Awards.
The 11-minute film features Magnús alongside contemporary dancers Íris Ásmundar and Karítas Lotta, bringing music from the album to life through movement and performance.
The premiere will take place at Bíó Paradís on Saturday, November 7, between 17:30 and 18:30, with two screenings throughout the hour. Admission is free and open to the public but Iceland Airwaves wristband holders will have priority access to the screening as well as discounts on Magnús Jóhann merch available at Bíó Paradís.
