Ritrými í Reykjavík: Deig. Molding Poetry with Ragnheiður Harpa Leifsdóttir.

At our next Ritrými session, our special guest will be Ragnheiður Harpa Leifsdóttir, a writer and artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans writing, visual art, and performance. She is also a member of Ritrými. Most recently, she received the 2026 Tómas Guðmundsson Poetry Prize for her poetry book Deigh (Dough).

During the session, Harpa will share her writing practice and invite us to get our hands into the "dough" of our own work, shaping, stretching, and discovering what it might become.

The session will be held in English, with optional support in Icelandic and Polish, and all languages are welcome!

Ritrými í Reykjavík / Reykjavík in Writing is a community-driven writing workshop series hosted at MENGI. The workshops are multilingual and admission is free. Together, we will explore creativity, poetry, publishing, multilingual writing, and more through shared practice, conversation, and guest-led sessions.

Writers of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome.

Ritrými í Reykjavík is co-founded by Reykjavík UNESCO City of Literature and ALO Ísland, a non-profit organisation working in community learning, and delivered with love in collaboration with RVK Poetics and Ós Pressan.
