  The Amity Affliction

  An Aussie metalcore group with highly confessional lyrics and a melody-driven emo-tinged sound, the Amity Affliction emerged in 2008 with Severed Ties. They hit their stride in 2012 with the release of their third full-length effort, Chasing Ghosts, which like subsequent outings This Could Be Heartbreak (2016), Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them (2020), and Not Without My Ghosts (2023), soared to the top of the Australian charts, and found international success as well.

  Varials

  Varials channel hardcore intensity and nu-metal groove into something unapologetically

  human. Formed in Philadelphia, the band built its reputation on unflinching honesty

  across Pain Again, In Darkness, and Scars for You to Remember.

  Their fourth album, WHERE THE LIGHT LEAVES (Fearless Records, 2026), marks a

  rebirth—four musicians tearing everything down to rebuild stronger.

  Produced by Josh Schroeder (Lorna Shore, Dayseeker), the record captures Varials at

  their most instinctive and unfiltered. Imperfect takes, emotional performances, and new

  melodic textures create a sound that’s both crushing and alive.

  Onstage, the lineup (Skyler Conder, Mike Foley, Sean Rauchut, and Shane Lyons)

  continues to prove why Varials remain one of heavy music’s most cathartic and
