Coach Tev (Irving, TX) is a Texas creative built on study, structure, and self-mastery. A filmmaker by degree, he approaches music like a director — story first, framing intentional, every bar edited with purpose. What started as freestyles and wordplay evolved into a disciplined craft rooted in curiosity and execution.
Breaking through the Dallas rap scene with a three-peat of releases championed by respected hip-hop outlets, Tev introduced himself on his own terms: sharp wit, calculated delivery, and layered sports metaphors that fuel his self-proclaimed “Coach of the Year” persona.
One of the few artists imprinting Irving into the broader music conversation, Coach Tev represents a modern Texas cool — cinematic, competitive, and built for big stages like SXSW. With multiple projects since 2015, his artistry isn’t accidental — it’s studied, strategic, and still ascending.
